Have You Gotten Your Free Starbucks Gift Card Yet?

A month ago I signed up for the Swagbucks search engine, and I now have a Starbucks gift card getting mailed to my house! I was a little apprehensive since earning gift cards usually takes a lot of time and surveys to fill out, but using Swagbucks is very simple.

How do you sign up?

It is very simple. All you do is sign up and use Swagbucks to do your regular internet searches. I was always using Google before I found Swagbucks, but the great thing is that Swagbucks uses a mix of Google and Ask.com, so you get really good results. The way you earn points is by signing up, for adding their search bar to your browser, and for when you search. I have found that if you do three to four searches a day, you'll get a $5 Starbucks gifts card in about a month. Another way to get points is by telling your friends about Swagbucks and getting points for them signing up too!

You can redeem your points for other prizes than Starbucks gift cards, but I think this is such a good deal, since you only have to get 50 points to get a $5 Starbucks card, and you can easily get to that amount in under a month. One of the other easy gift cards to earn is a $5 Amazon gift card for only 45 points.

I WON!

I can't believe I won something from a giveaway! This is the first time that I've won anything on the computer (and I've entered a lot of giveaways). I was one of the winners from Monkeys on the Bed, 100th post with a giveaway! The really cool thing is that I won something from her sister's Etsy store. I actually wrote that in my post about the giveaway. I won 2 headbands that Ashley made herself. I can't wait to try them on Layne, Abby, and the baby (when she is born). Trying to be crafty

I've had an itch to sew lately, so I have been making baby gifts and things like that. I decided to make my own kids something this week and am pretty happy with the outcome. Layne has this really cute top that my mom made her and she always gets compliments when she wears it, so I decided to make one for each of the girls. It was a really easy pattern (only took about 1 hour from start to finish) and I am pretty happy with the outcome. They are a little big on the girls, but I think they still look cute. I am trying to find some fabric to make pants to match, but can't find just what I am looking for. Here is a picture of the girls in the cloths. The pictures aren't the greatest (it's a little hard to get both girls looking at the camera).

Children's Museum

This morning we went to the Children's Museum with some friends (Andy's sister and cousins, along with their kids). It was a lot of fun. We haven's been there in over a year and a lot has changed. They had a great exhibit on The Blue Man Group (which the kids weren't that interested in). The kids stayed busy for two hours and Layne was very upset when we had to leave (literally screaming). :) Then we went back to our house for lunch and more playing.
